Joseph A. Pollock
Joseph (Joey) was born and raised in Winnipeg. He received his arts degree in 1980 from the University of Winnipeg and his law degree from the University of Manitoba in 1984. Joey was called to the Manitoba Bar in 1985 and articled with Aikins MacAulay & Thorvaldson. In his early years of practice (1985 to 1989) Joey and his father Gordon worked together in a general law practice. In 1989, Joey joined the firm McJannet Rich where he focused on civil litigation. In 1993, Joey joined the law department of The Great-West Life Assurance Company (“GWL”) where he was responsible for the management and supervision of the Canadian operations of the GWL litigation unit. In 1995, Joey was called to the bar of Ontario, although because of protocols subsequently established, no longer maintains that call. In 2001, Joey joined Campbell Marr LLP focusing his practice on defence insurance litigation, including life and disability insurance as well as construction litigation, estate litigation and other general litigation matters.
Joey has appeared as counsel in all levels of courts in Manitoba, before the Manitoba Labour Board, The Workers Compensation Appeal Board and the Automobile Injury Compensation Appeal Commission.
In his spare time, Joey loves to spend time with his wife Laura, daughters Samantha and Danielle, and son Liam. He also enjoys mountain biking and working on various ongoing home renovation projects
