Ty received a B.Sc. (General) from the University of Manitoba in 2014 and spent the next six years working in the construction industry until beginning the Juris Doctor program at Robson Hall in 2020. Throughout law school, Ty was a regular contributor to the Desautels Centre’s law blog and case reporter. During his third year of law school, Ty was a Managing Editor and Chair of the Desautels Review, a brand-new legal journal focusing on law related to private enterprise. In the same year, he participated in the clerkship program at the Manitoba Court of King’s Bench. Ty received his JD degree in 2023.

Outside of work, Ty spends time playing a variety of musical instruments, watching films, attempting to golf, and enjoying life with his family and friends.
